Abstract:
The principal aim of this study is thematic analyze on Yisemake Worku’s Dertogada and
Serqe Daniel Qonjowochu a comparative approach. Therefore, Different extracts have
selected, based on using descriptively in point- by -point mechanism of thematic textual
analysis on a comparison study. There were classified into three thematic categories such as
major, minor, and universal. According to the discussion in analytical chapters, the two
extracts dominantly share in common like, unity as a means of strength which enables us to
solve our contemporary problems, the dangerousness of corruption, impacts of aid,
dependency, political instability, espionages, the impact of terrorism in the world and show
the autocratic ruling system in Africa. In general, about the need of social,
political…revolutions of Ethiopia are the prominent issues in the two literary works. What
makes the differences is their modes of presentation of setting, area of emphasize and such
issues are included and discussed in different sections. So, the study shows that both the
authors are relatively trying to show different regimes in Africa and Ethiopia are not giving
emphasize to the original history and philosophy of African as well as Ethiopia. Rather the
regimes are adjusting their own ruling system targeting for their safety and are influenced by
the Westerners different ideology as the most habitual ones.
