Abstract:
Background: Youth friendly reproductive health services is services provided to young people aged
Objectives? This study aimed to assess client satisfaction and associated factors towards youth
friendly reproductive health services among youths accessing Gondar town public health facilities,
northwest, Ethiopia, 2022.
Metho: An institutional based cross-sectional study was conducted among youth who accessed the
youth friendly service at health institution in Gondar town from May 08 to June10 / 2022.
Systematic random sampling technique was used to select 471 youths. A structured, interviewer
administered and pretested questioner was used to collect the data. The data were entered into EPI
data version 4.6 and then analyze using SPSS version 25 statistical software. Descriptive summary
statistics including frequencies, mean, and standard deviation was used to describe the data. The
result was reported by using graphs, tables and text. Binary logistic regression analysis was used to
assess the significant association. All variables having P-value less than 0.2 in the bivariable model
were included in to the multivariable logistic regression analysis. Statistically significant association
was determined by P-value < 0.05 with its 95% confidence interval in the final model.
Results: In this study, a total of 461 youth participated, giving a 98% response rate. Youth friendly
reproductive health service satisfaction was found to be 54.2%
Conclusion and recommendation Client satisfaction in youth friendly reproductive health clinic in
Gondar town, north west, Ethiopia was low compared to study conducted other country. Factors
associated with Youth Friendly Reproductive Health service satisfaction were. sex, Age and
distance of health facility to access service. Better to increase geographical accessibility of health
facility and provide more attention for females.
