THE BIOGRAPHY OF FITAWRARI AYÄLÄ TÄSÄMA (19121983)

Abstract

The thesis clearly studied about the Fitawurari Ayälä Täsäma from his birth in1912 up to his death in 1983. “Since he had a good personality and event full contribution for his country, I would like to study the biography of Fitawurari Ayälä Täsäma”.The thesis describes about genealogical line that originated from Bäläbät of Kemant and Amhara from his mother side in Wälqait and childhood life time of Fitawurari AyäläTäsäma. The thesis describes about the process of his appointment to political title and administrative posts. The thesis studied deeply about Italian invasion and the role of FitawurariAyäläTäsäma against fascist occupation in Çelga Awraja. At this point major battle fields that carried out between Fitawurari Ayälä Täsäma and fascist also discussed in detail. The thesis tried to examine the life and career of FitawurariAyäläTäsäma in the post liberation period. SinceFitawurari Ayälä was the governor of Çelga Awraja districts and Dabat Wäräda in1944-1973 consecutive years, his political, social and economic development are examined indetail. In addition to this, the various gifts and rewards from different governmental prizes are included that witnessed the courage of Fitawurari Ayälä. The thesis also describes about the fall of monarchical government through popular revolution in 1974. During that time, the Därg seized state power and continued its ruthless rule. Here the thesis studied about the response of FitawurariAyäläwith the military government. The research also includes about the foundation of EDU and the major engagements of Fitawurari Ayälä with Därg. At the end, the thesis discussed about the decline of EDU and Fitawurari Ayälä was exile to Sudan and he was sick which resulted to the death of Fitawurari Ayälä.The funeral ceremony of Fitawurari Ayälä was accomplished based on in the religious and traditional way.
