Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of circuit training on some selected health related physical fitness components of Zuyhamusit secondary school female student. To develop female students health related fitness such as, flexibility, muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance. true experimental research design was used for this study. Total population subject were N=30. The researcher selected 30 female students in Zuyhamusit secondary school age range between 17-19 years through purposive sampling method. And also Simple random sampling method used to grouped in to experimental (n=15) and control group (n=15) by using simple random (lottery) system. The experimental group engaged in exercise program (3days per week for 40_50 minutes in two months). However, the control group did not perform circuit training, both groups undergone normal physical education training class program. The two groups took the test items included modified, 1miniut sit up, sit and reach and 12 minute run tests as pre and post-test. These test items used to determine muscular endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance of the respondents. This data were analyzed by using SPSS version 20 software by paired sample t-test with a significance level of 0.05. The analyzed data showed that circuit training significantly improved muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility of female student in pre-post-test performance of EG (p<0.05). This was due to the effects of circuit training on selected health related physical fitness component. Based on this finding, it can be concluded that 8 week circuit training had positive effect on muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility of female student. Therefore, it is recommended that female students, HPE teachers and coaches should include circuit training in their practical sessions for development of health related physical fitness level of female students.
