Abstract:
The purpose of the study was to examine factors affect the performance of middle and long- distance track athletes: with specific reference to Ambagiourigis, Dabat, and Debark Town Athletes Club. The research design was descriptive survey and research method was both qualitative and quantitative approaches. This study consists of athlete, coaches and club officials were participate and the total population was 87 from 3 clubs and in these research 81 athletes, 3 coaches, and 3 club officials were selected by using censes sampling technique. The researcher used primary sources of data to accomplish this study. Data gathering tools were questionnaire, interview and observation. Questionnaires and list would analyze by using frequency and percentage; qualitative analysis all the data collected from interview and observation would analyze using words. The major finding obtained from these study indicated that, lack of training kits, facilities and equipment, coaches did not apply properly science of sport training principles, and athletes didn’t get enough diets in addition to these long and meddle-distance track athletes training
