Prevalence of sexually transmitted infections and associated factors among University of Gondar regular undergraduate students, Northwest Ethiopia.

Abstract

Introduction: Sexually transmitted infections Methods: Institution based cross sectional study design will be conducted among 678 regular undergraduate students at University of Gondar. Samples will be chosen through multistage sampling technique and pre tested self administered structured questionnaires will be used to collect data. The collected data will be cleaned, coded, entered in to Epi-Info version 7 and transferred then analyzed using SPSS computer software package version 20.0. Frequencies and cross tabulations will be used to summarized descriptive statistics, Bivariate analysis will be done and variables with p value of less than or equal to 0.2 will be included in the multivariate logistic regression analysis. Odds ratio, confidence interval with 95% confidence limits and significance level Work plan : the research project is intended to be conducted from January to May,2016. Budget: The research project will require a total of 18,514.10 Ethiopian birr.
