dc.description.abstract Introduction: Antenatal care is comprehensive care that pregnant mothers obtained from organized health services to maintain best health of the mother throughout the pregnancy. Client satisfaction in antenatal care is essential for further improvement of antenatal care and also a measure of quality of service. However globally there is high pregnancy related maternal death and stillborn. Therefore the purpose of this study is to assess antenatal care client satisfaction which is one important component to improve the antenatal care services that help to reduce maternal death. Objective: To assess antenatal care service satisfaction and associated factors among pregnant women in Gondar city governmental health centers North West Ethiopia in 2018G.C. Methods: Facility based cross sectional study design was used with total sample size of 404. Systematic random sampling technique was used to select study participants and about 21 five point scale satisfaction measuring questions were prepared. Version 7 EPI-info was used for data entry and analyzed using statistical package for social science version 20. Bivariable & Multivariable analysis was recruited to see the association of different variables. For all statistical significance tests with p<0.05 with 95% CI were used. Result: The overall satisfaction of antenatal care attending mothers was 52.14% with 95% CI: Conclusion: In our study even though the result reveals that percentage of the satisfied mothers was greater than half; the difference is not that much larger compared with the others. Education level above than secondary, having no history of abortion, mothers on third and fourth ANC visits and available clean water were contribute for the occurrence of lower satisfaction.
