dc.description.abstract Gender-Based Violence is a widespread problem that affects women and girls of all ages, cultures, and socioeconomic backgrounds. GBV manifests itself in a variety of ways, including rape, domestic violence, forced marriage, child marriage, exploitation and harassment, sexual violence, and female genital mutilation, and has ramifications on the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of victims. The objective of this study was to investigate the lived experience of gender-based violence victim women refugees in Tierkide Camp, located in the Itang special woreda in Gambella, Ethiopia. Phenomenological study design used as a component of qualitative research design that studies and describes human lives experience was employed. The findings of the studied on Gender Based Violence such as physical, psychological and sexual or rapes violences were more affected women refugee lived in camp of Tierkide. The conclusion of this research discovered that victims of GBV issues are caused by male institutional or patriarchal power and drug addiction. Based on this study, more women refugee experience violence at household level and the like, with the same incidence of physical, sexual, economic and psychological violence. Awareness raising for women refugee victims and others refugee. A specific active policy against GBV, such as perpetrators' penalties as recommended. en_US
