dc.description.abstract Trafficking is a prevalent and steadily increasing practice. Large family size intermingle with disintegration of families are the major driving factors related with individual characteristic wishes better living standard that encourage trafficking economic disparity between the origin and destination areas, resulted variation of job opportunity between the origins and the destinations the presence of job opportunity in the destinations that attract people to migrate as pushing factors. Absences of real labor travel agencies intermingle with the legal process it takes time and the increasing number of false promise maker in the town the main aggravated factors of trafficking in woreda. The level of unemployment rate is increased and health condition of the community become risk. (Wegayehu.T.2014). This study was aimed at investigating the cause and challenge of women trafficking in Debark Woreda. The investigator used descriptive type of research design and the research approach includes both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The data were collected from both primary and secondary data sources. The data was collected from 150 women trafficking return respondents by applying random sampling techniques using questionnaires and depth interview. The study applied both qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods to interpret the result of the study. The finding revealed that the factor of women trafficking , unemployment, poverty, Increasing unemployment rate, Early marriage, economic uncertainties and decline, falling living standards, displacement of family and collective social organization, lack of educational opportunities, lack of social and welfare services, loose border controls, lack of good governance, Lack of job opportunity. The result revealed actors of women trafficking are Trafficked Person, Families of the Trafficked Persons, Traffickers, Local leader and brokers. Last the challenges of women trafficking are Economic exploitation, Isolation. the Sexual abuse, Confiscation of documents, Sexual Harassment. Generally, the study concluded that the problem of trafficking is related with economic issue.so that every stakeholder those who have responsibility with the issue must come up with job opportunities for citizens and to make people more aware the risk and challenge of trafficking. en_US
