dc.description.abstract Supply chain management is the management of the flow of goods and services and includes all processes that transform raw materials into final products. The effect of supply chain management practice had an important aspect of management due to increase competition among companies and effect issues associate with company operations. The main objective of this study was “To assess the effect of supply chain management practice on construction project performance in case of Amhara water works and construction enterprise in Gondar Town Angereb Dam”. The construction of Angereb Dam and Treatment Plant was commenced in late 1986 by constructing an earth-fill dam across the Angereb River. Article study would also contribute to narrow the gap in the literature on the generalization of the causal relationship between SC practice and operational performance. This study was used adescripive research type. The main instruments in data collection were questionnaires targeting employees and managers of the projects. The variables were Customer relationship management, Information sharing, Knowledge and process management, Supplier quality management. strategic supplier partnerships and Technology. Identification of representative practices affecting Operational performance (OP) and understanding of mutual dependence among those practices would improve the performance of manufacturing organizations with available resources. In the study, descriptive and quantitative research methods were applied by using systematic probability random sampling technique. In Angereb Dam project the target number of populations of the study is 260 but using158 respondents should take the sample from the total population. The sample size of the office was determined by using the Taro Yamane (1967) formula from each stratum. The data was finally coded, analyzed, and presented through; tables, means, frequencies and standard deviations with assistance of statistical packages for social science (SPSS) Co relational analysis and multiple linear regressions was carried out to test the relationship between the twovariables. The study provides several important findings of related literature regarding the effect of supply chain practice on operational performance in the case of AWWCE in Gondar town Angereb Dam selected projects.Generally, the finding of the research indicates that SCMP has a cumulative significant effect on construction project performance. en_US
