dc.description.abstract Psychological problems and its severity rise among students with disabilities population. Ethiopian literature gives limited explanation about the psychological well-being of sponsored and non-sponsored students with disability. Therefore, the study conducted to fill this gap. The objective of this study was to compare psychological well-being of sponsored and non-sponsored students with disability. Quantitative approach and descriptive research employed. From sponsored 87 and from non-sponsored 87 total 174 participants selected for this study through census. The data presented by tabular method. Demographic questionnaire and psychological wellbeing measurement scale administered to collect data. Mean, frequency, percentage, and standard deviation, independent sample t-test, Chi-squire, correlation applied to analyzed the collected data through SPSS statistical software version 20. To ensure the research validity and reliability pilot testing applied before conducted the main study. The result shows, there is significant difference in psychological well-being between sponsored and non-sponsored students with disability. Sponsored students (M= 3.18, SD= 0.39) had higher mean than non sponsored (M= 3.038, SD= 0.22); t (172) = 2.96, p=0.004). This study is implacable for social workers to facilitate linkage between the people with disability and community resources. en_US
