Prevalence and Associated Factor of Brown Adipose Tissue: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Abstract

3.1. Search Results. A total of 837 articles were retrieved from different electronic databases. After removal of 300 duplicate articles, 492 of the studies were excluded based on review of the title and abstract. From these, 45 publications were considered for full-text review and 23 of the studies were excluded because they did not report the total prevalence clearly and some article estimates the prevalence of brown adipose tissue in a specific anatomical location of the body.
