Abstract:
This study was aimed to examine the effect of entrepreneurial education and prior business
experience on entrepreneurial intention. The effects have been examined with cross-sectional
comparative nature research design. Data were obtained from a sample of 186 Aksum university
social science students via structured questionnaire and structured interview with entrepreneurship
course instructors. Stratified random sampling technique was used to draw samples from the total
population. An interview held with entrepreneurship course instructor’s purposefully to assimilate
information about entrepreneurship course delivery mode and course content. The findings revealed
that entrepreneurial education and prior business do not have significant effect on entrepreneurial
intention. In line with the findings, the researcher recommended that Universities and government
should work in cooperation to shape graduates entrepreneurship intention
