dc.description.abstract Background: Data use is one of the key functions of the Health Information System. Data generated from the District Health Information System 2 plays a critical role in supporting the health care for all system pillars. However, there is no adequate evidence of the Distract health information system 2 data use in the Hadiya Zone, Southern Ethiopia. Objective: To assess District Health Information System 2 data use and associated factors among the performance monitoring team members at public health facilities in Hadiya Zone, Southern Ethiopia 2023. Methods: An institutional based cross sectional quantitative study design was performed and supplemented by a qualitative approach from March 27 to May 8, 2023. A total of 413 sample sizes was determined using a single population proportion formula. Proportional allocation and a simple random approach were used. Structured & pretested questioners were used for data collection. Binary logistic regression was used to identify associated factors and p-value ≤ 0.2 candidates for multi-variable analysis. A key informant interview was used for the qualitative study and the data were analyzed using thematic analysis using open-code version 4.02. Result: Overall the level of District Health Information System 2 data use was about 54.36% (95% CI: 49.10, 59.10%). The finding show that, Being male [AOR: 1.62, 95% CI: 1.05, 2.86], self-competence [AOR: 1.94, 95% CI: 1.17, 3.21], availability of data management materials [AOR: 2.32, 95% CI: 1.41, 3.84], receive written feedback [AOR: 2.61, 95% CI: 1.59, 4.28] and favorable attitude [AOR: 3.89, 95% CI: 2.41, 6.57] were significantly associated with District Health Information System 2 data use. Conclusion and recommendation: District Health Information System 2 data use was not adequate as compared to the national expectation (85%). Sex, Data management materials, written feedback, and attitude were found to be the factors associated with DHIS2 data use. The responsible body shall organize training to enhance the data use skills of performance monitoring team members en_US
