dc.description.abstract Abstract Introduction: After the introduction of Antiretroviral Therapy and AIDS Objective: This study was aimed to assess the prevalence and factors associated with it among adult outpatients living with HIV and AIDS who were on ART at Dessie referral hospital HIV Care Clinic. Method: An institutional cross-sectional study was conducted on 422 adults living with HIV and AIDS who are on ART care clinic at Dessie referral hospital from March to June 2018 in north-central Ethiopia. The short form Result: overall high activity limitation was 40%. All subjects with high activity limitation reported difficulty in moderate to vigorous activities; Participants that report high activity limitation were 40%. Activity limitation was described in terms of moderate and vigorous activity, level of mobility, work-related physical health symptom, and self-care. for CD4 {AOR=8.85 Conclusion and recommendation: The prevalence of physical activity limitation was high in this study. Therefore it is imperative to regularly assess the patient's CD4 counts, level of pain and HIV related clinical factors. Antiretroviral treatments have enabled the prolongation of the lives of people who are HIV-infected; now. We need to give special attention to optimizing the quality of these extended live and design rehabilitation programme. en_US
