dc.description.abstract Abstract Introduction: Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) has been one of the world‘s most important public health strategies to reduce morbidity and mortality associated with infectious diseases in children. Maternal satisfaction is one of the most frequently used outcome measures for quality of care, and it needs to be addressed to improve the quality and efficiency of health care within the health system. Objective: To assess maternal satisfaction towards childhood immunization service and its associated factors in wadla district, north wollo, North East Ethiopia, 2019 Methods: Community-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 682 mothers from March to April 2019 in the wadla district. A multistage cluster sampling technique was used to select the households to be targeted for interviewing respondents. The data was being cleaned, coded, and entered in EPI-Info version 7.2.2.2 and transferred to SPSS version 23.0 statistical package for further analysis. Bivariable and Multivariable logistic regression analysis were made to identify variable having a significant association with the dependent variables. Variables with the p-value of 0.05 and AOR with 95% CI was considered as statistically significant Result: The overall maternal satisfaction towards childhood immunization service was 68.2%.The study revealed that mothers who attended secondary education (AOR=0.26,95%CI=0.13-0.53).divorced (AOR=0.46,95% CI=0.23-0.91),maternal favorable attitude (AOR=1.58; 95% CI=1.05–2.33), got service within short waiting time (AOR=1.83; 95% CI=1.21- 2.79), got greeting(AOR=5.69, 95%CI=3.36-9.65), got information about the current vaccine (AOR=2.03,95% CI=1.25-3.32), a dose of vaccine (AOR=2.24,95% CI=1.40-3.58) and next immunization schedule (AOR=3.21,95% CI=1.70-6.04) were factors associated with maternal satisfaction. Conclusion and recommendation: The level of maternal satisfaction towards childhood immunization service was low. So the district health office managers and health care providers should plan and work together to promote maternal satisfaction and areas where mothers are dissatisfied need to be improved.
