dc.description.abstract Abstract Background: To deliver effective services and improve health outcomes, at the right place and at the right time, skilled and motivated health workers in sufficient numbers are critical. Shortage of qualified health workers in rural areas is common in both developed and developing countries. Policy makers need to use some incentive packages based on job attributes for posting jobs and retain health staffs in rural and remote areas. Medical students need to state their preferences to hypothetical job choices. Objective:The aim of this study was to assess stated job preferences of medical students for a job, as a function of the job’s characteristics in Northwest Ethiopia, from 17 April 2021.
