Abstract
Background: - Knowledge sharing practice among healthcare providers improves
group interaction and performance to meet the patient’s needs. However, it is
inadequately practiced in the healthcare sector of Ethiopia. The study about KSP in
the study area was limited. So, this study can be used as primary evidence for KSP
among healthcare providers at University of Gondar comprehensive referral hospital.
Objective: - The aim of this study was to assess knowledge sharing practice and
associated factors among healthcare providers at University of Gondar hospital.
Method: - Cross-sectional study design supplemented with qualitative study method
through stratified random sampling techniques was done among 423 samples from
February 17 up to June 13, 2020. Pretested self administered questionnaire and indepth
interview were used. Epi info and stata software were used for data entry,
processing and analysis respectively. Descriptive statistics and forward logistic
regression model were used to assess knowledge sharing practice and associated
factors. For the qualitative study, thematic content analysis was used.
Result: - In this study, the level of knowledge sharing practice was 65.0%%
