Abstract:
According to the World Health Organization, diarrhea is the
passage of three or more loose or liquid stools per day [1].
Although diarrhea is a preventable and treatable disease, it is
the 2nd leading cause of death in children under 5 years old
[2]. Globally, there are nearly 1.7 billion cases of childhood
diarrheal disease every year. Diarrhea is a leading cause of
malnutrition in children under five years old and kills
around 525, 000 children under five [
