Abstract:
Leonotis africana (P. Beauv.) Briqbelongs to the family of Lamiaceae. The leaves, root and stem parts of these plant were collected and methanolicextracts of each parts of the plant were prepared. Using standard methods different types of compounds were found. These metabolites were proteins, terpenoids, phenols, carbohydrates, amino acids, alkaloids and flavonoids, etc.
